SOMEIC and Keikku sign a landmark collaboration: echocardiography guidelines at hand and faster reports for every echocardiographer in Mexico

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    Wednesday, October 14, 2026

The collaboration will integrate SOMEIC clinical content into Keikku Reference, add specialized echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging templates to Keikku Scribe, and offer its members preferential access to AI-powered clinical tools.

MEXICO CITY and AMSTERDAM, October 14, 2026. Lapsi Health, the clinical AI company behind the Keikku AI Clinical Platform, and the Mexican Society of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging (SOMEIC) today announced a strategic clinical, scientific and educational collaboration aimed at making the Society's clinical guidance on echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging easier to access for healthcare professionals in Mexico, and at speeding up the reporting of their studies.

Through this collaboration, SOMEIC clinical practice guidelines, consensus statements, clinical recommendations, position statements and protocols for acquiring, interpreting and reporting cardiovascular imaging studies, selected by mutual agreement between both organizations, will be integrated into Keikku Reference, Lapsi Health's AI-powered clinical reference and decision support solution. The content covers the different branches of the specialty, from echocardiography to cardiac CT, cardiovascular MRI and nuclear cardiology.

The integration is designed so that physicians can identify and consult relevant SOMEIC guidance more efficiently within their clinical workflow, including at or near the moment clinical decisions are made. SOMEIC remains the source and owner of its scientific content, which will be properly attributed to the Society within Keikku Reference, with access to the original publication whenever technically possible.

Bringing cardiovascular imaging knowledge into the clinical workflow

Keikku is a clinical AI platform that brings AI-powered clinical documentation, Coding Intelligence and clinical reference and decision support tools together within a connected workflow.

When a physician queries Keikku Reference, answers supported by SOMEIC materials cite the Society as the source. The platform clearly distinguishes content cited from the Society from answers generated by Keikku, so the physician always knows what comes directly from SOMEIC.

Reporting templates for echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging

As part of the collaboration, Lapsi Health will make specialized templates for reporting echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging studies available in Keikku Scribe. The templates structure the report according to the type of study, so the specialist documents their findings and obtains an organized, complete report ready for review.

The goal is to reduce the time spent writing reports and to make reporting consistent across studies and specialists, so the physician spends more time on interpretation and on the patient.

Jhonatan Bringas Dimitriades, MD, CEO and cofounder of Lapsi Health, said:

"We are proud to collaborate with SOMEIC. We want every echocardiographer in Mexico to have its guidelines at hand and to spend less time on reports and more time with their patients."

Dr. Miguel Ayala León, President of the Mexican Society of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging, said:

"Making high value, up to date medical information available through artificial intelligence will put physicians in Latin America at the forefront of today's world."

Advancing education in AI applied to cardiovascular imaging

Beyond the technology integration, Lapsi Health and SOMEIC will collaborate on educational and scientific initiatives designed to foster the professional use of artificial intelligence in echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging.

Possible activities during the initial phase of the collaboration include educational webinars, demonstrations and training on Keikku, and educational content for SOMEIC members. Both organizations will also explore holding an educational session, in person or online, focused on the professional use of AI tools in cardiovascular imaging and on integrating SOMEIC content into Keikku Reference.

Extending the impact beyond the platform

As part of the collaboration, active SOMEIC members will receive a 15% discount on the Keikku annual plan, through an exclusive code the Society will share with its members.

Beyond platform access, Lapsi Health will allocate 10% of the first year subscription revenue generated through this collaboration to support the scientific, professional and educational mission of the Society.

The collaboration begins with a twelve month evaluation phase and fully preserves the scientific and professional independence of SOMEIC. Keikku is designed to support qualified healthcare professionals and does not replace independent clinical judgment.
